This is a small restaurant but the food is authentic Tamil! Varun takes care of his customers. We had the veg thaali and Mysore masala dosa. Both were excellent. I have had their vadas, the bisibhele bhaat is very good. Their biriyani is also very, very good, South Indian style and spicy. Value for money here. The Andhra spicy dosa was ok. I prefer the Mysore masala dosa.

Got a veg puff for takeout. It was hot, fresh, and really tasty. The filling was nice and flavorful, and the pastry was flaky. Definitely worth ordering again!

This was a very pleasant surprise. My daughter in law and I were in the area visiting the orchid festival and, when lunch hour hit, we had no idea where to go. We stumbled on a Taste of Chennai when a neighboring restaurant we had found online was closed for lunch. Although the atmosphere is rather plain and could use some decor, the locale was clean and in good condition. But what really inspired me to write this review was the food. We shared a curry chicken dosa and a rice crepe filled with potatoes that came with lentil sauces and other garnishes. Both dishes were delicious and could have fed an army - we weren't even close to finishing it. I'm definitely visiting them again to try other dishes!

I really like this place, the food and the service.. they are very kind and friendly people. We had ordered Jaipur sweet and spice masala dosa(quite spicy) poori Bhaji and chicken kothu parota… our favourite was the kothu parota. We came back for dinner tonight, and the place has had a wonderful makeover—it looks beautiful! The food is as delicious as always.

Had Veg Kottu and it was way below average. I think the kotthu was undercooked. First time I was disappointed with Kottu at any restaurant. Looks good in the pic but did not taste good at all.
